Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

by Elinor Montgomery

April 17, 2017

I have always admired Kelleigh Nelson’s well-researched, informative commentaries in NewsWithViews, and have often depended upon her as a source for political information, which I have not researched for myself. However, her response to Chuck Baldwin’s understanding of Zionism and who the true Jew and true Israel are, is incorrect, according to Bible testimony, given in the spirit of prophecy (see Revelation 19:10).

Baldwin is absolutely right, though probably not considered so by the theological establishment, and certainly not by most of the Messianic scholars of our day. They belong to a religious group, which claims belief in Jesus but also in the privileges God accords to a special bloodline, which they believe belongs to the nation, Israel, and its twelve tribes whom the Lord God called the Hebrew children.

First of all, the spiritual nativity of the nation Israel can be found in Ezekiel 16:3; it is called the birth of a nation. She was taken by the Lord God from the land of Canaan, her father being an Amorite and her mother, a Hittite. This is the Word of the Lord, not mine, which, in fact, identifies the blood of the nation Israel as being the same corrupted blood as that of the entire human race, due to the sin of their natural father, Adam, as is my blood also corrupted as a natural descendant of his. Adam became a son of the devil known as the beast in rebellion to God and, from that moment forward, he became the walking dead in his own blood.

The Lord describes Israel in terms of being a baby and child of the gentiles, which He picked up from the earth and made His own, as it lay struggling in that inherited, doomed blood. There was no blood of Jesus to save this struggling wee nation at that time in history, but one day, far ahead in the future, His blood would be offered for that baby to save it from sure death, along ‘the Way’ of life, back to the kingdom.

But the nation Israel would refuse it. In fact, the scholars and theologians of Jesus’ day, the scribes and Pharisees, would be labeled by Jesus as being the sons of the devil (see John 8:44). So much for those great theologians of His day, who believed that they were the only “Jews” and that special blood of a chosen nation ran through their veins. I would venture to guess that about 99% of them at least, believed themselves to be the sons of Abraham’s inheritance, promised in the covenant, which God made with him. Jesus refuted any such idea in no uncertain terms (see John 8:39).

Being a national Jew of Israel did not mean the covenant of Abraham was given for the nation exclusively because they were of a special bloodline inheritance, which would separate them forever from having any blood brothers, other than those born into the 12 tribes of Israel. It was not true then, and it is not true today.

As Paul said, the true Jew is one, not by circumcision in the flesh, but rather is one inwardly, with circumcision of the heart being in the Spirit and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men but of God (see Romans 2:28-29). Chuck Baldwin most definitely has this understanding, but I would hesitate to quote that great Messianic scholar, Dr. Fruchtenbaum on this matter, about whom I know nothing. I do not put my trust in religious theologians, but rather in the Word of the Lord and that of His apostle, Paul.

Paul was formerly a Pharisee of Pharisees, or one could say that he was a thoroughly religious scholar and theologian of his day, who had an encounter with the light and the true Word of God, in the person of Jesus. Then he was led by the Spirit to give up his role as a Pharisee and follow only the teaching of the greatest Rabbi or Teacher of them all called Jesus. Only He could open the understanding of the sealed scrolls, although the Hebrew, leading, scholastic theologians, probably all 99% of them, might have their own ideas on that matter. The teaching of Jesus never fails, but that of theological colleges can fail miserably in teaching truth.

This brings us to the 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Revelation, Chapter 7 and the matter of Zionism, and whether or not these are actual witnesses from the tribes of the nation Israel. It does, in fact, take a Zionist to figure out exactly who these twelve tribes are, one who longs for the Lord God to rule over Jerusalem again, as in the days of King David.

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing (Luke 13:34)!”

Such words Jesus uttered as He expressed His feelings for Jerusalem. He would love to have collected those who were His own but Zion would not allow it. These were His people who never accepted Him then, any more than the nation Israel accepts Him today. So God finally gave them over to the gods of this world they so loved and scattered them throughout the gentile nations and back to their roots whence they came as an infant nation dying in its own blood. They literally had gone around the block to be back where they started.

The nation had brought about her own doom and the destruction of Zion by Rome – the final empire of the Babylonian system. Zion is both a city and a longing that is associated with the perfect rule of God over His people. The temple of Solomon is often associated with the loss of Jerusalem, the city and the nation, which Israel never seems to blame on herself and her privileged position of having a so-called special bloodline.

And Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down (Mark 13:2).”

Why should that be a surprise, for God had not commanded the building of the temple in the manner He had the tabernacle, and His Spirit would only fill the temple under certain conditions? His Spirit dwelled continuously, through Israel’s idolatry and otherwise, over the ark of the covenant in the tabernacle, in the wilderness. The temple, like the city, was destroyed with the scattering of the Hebrew children of the nation throughout the nations of the world. Would it even be a possibility for the United Nations to return them to the Land in peace? Not at all! Only the saints will return with Jesus when He comes to set up His kingdom on earth. He is the only One who can bring peace to this world, no matter how many treaties or agreements are signed by the nations of this world.

In the meantime, Jerusalem is nothing more than a city housing a variety of religious systems of the world, caught up in the political battles and the trade wars for her share of the monies of this world. You could say that the number 666 is written all over her as it is over the other nations. Zion is a city, spiritually, like the city of Sodom and the empire of Egypt. It is the same city where our Lord was crucified (see Revelation 11:8). In other words, it is inhabited by people spiritually associated to Lot, not Abram, and are enslaved along with the rest of the world to the presently reviving, final empire of the Babylonian system of empires. It is a harlot to the Roman system, as it was in Jesus’ day, as a part of Babylon the great, mother of all harlots.

Real Zionism longs for the Spirit of God as did King David cry out to Him to not take His Spirit from him, the king who ruled over the city of Jerusalem, which was also known as the city of David. It does not await the return of David, but rather that of Jesus, with the East Gate still awaiting that glorious moment when Jesus will ride through it into the city with His donkey and its colt.

He is Jesus, the Son of inheritance whom we await, not Solomon who caused the Lord God to depart from his extremely elaborate temple and leave it to the same fate, which he, himself, would experience. Solomon would never have a descendant sit upon the throne of his father, David, because of the harlotry he embraced in his lifetime, the same kind of harlotry, which the nation Israel and the city Jerusalem embrace to this day.

He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son (1 John 2:22). Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also (1 John 2:23).

Of course, the true nation, the Israel of God, is not back in the land. Though I know this fact from Scripture, it does not mean I am anti-Semitic, pro-Palestinian or pro-United Nations. I love those brave people of the state of Israel today and admire their will to survive as the only democracy of the Middle East, which America should support. They are intelligent people, though lacking in wisdom, which only comes from spiritual understanding. They are a people who contribute greatly to the world in all areas of academic achievement, but they are now a nation under the same judgment as all of the other nations of the world, which God considers less than nothing and worthless (see Isaiah 40:17).

Remember that God broke up Babel to form the nations! Ever since that time, the nations of diverse peoples have been seeking to re-establish Babel by means of wars and empire rule. The people of the world want to return to that first established One World Order with Satan and his religious leaders. As for the U.N., it is worthless and less than nothing in that it is a force for evil. There never was a Palestinian state but it will push to form one and drive the only democracy there is in the Middle East into the sea.

So, the question still remains as to who the 144,000 witnesses are, appearing to come from the twelve tribes of Israel, named for their father Jacob who received the name Israel from God long before there ever was a nation Israel. In fact, some 400 years before the nation existed, Jacob struggled with the Angel of God (see Genesis 32:28). At the end of the struggle, the Angel told Jacob that he would then become known as Israel. This means what it says; it was at the end, and not at the beginning, of this struggle in which Jacob had his name changed to Israel.

Long before this, Jacob had had a dream, in which he saw a ladder connecting earth and heaven, with the angels of God ascending and descending upon it (see Genesis, chapter 28). He was on his way to find a bride, back from among the gentile family from which his grandfather, Abraham, had been called to separate. Jesus would later describe Himself as being that ladder (see John 1:49-51), and Jacob would identify the place where this had taken place as no longer being the city of Luz, but rather a city he would rename Bethel, meaning the ‘house of God’ (the house of Israel), saying that this place was the very gate of heaven, itself. This goes a long way toward telling us how to identify the 144,000 witnesses of the book of Revelation, chapter 7.

The ladder to heaven and the house of Israel are henceforth the inseparable gateway to heaven, even throughout the entire lifetime of the nation Israel. The place was Bethel, the house of God and not the nation of God, all occurring long before there was a nation called Israel.

We now know who forms the gates of heaven. It is spiritual Israel as the twelve gates named for the individual blessings upon the spiritual tribes of Israel, but not the natural tribes of Jacob. They are the gates to the New Jerusalem where Jesus is King on the throne of the New Jerusalem, a city dressed as His bride. Some, if not most, even 99% of our theologians might refute this, but that is because they have no understanding of Genesis, chapter 48 and chapter 49, and the fact that they explain this crossover blessing, which goes from the natural nation of Israel in the flesh to the supernatural nation of Israel in the Spirit.

It is called the apostolic church, which was seated under the branches of the fig tree, whom Jesus saw coming toward Him before even being called (see John 1:48). Then her great witness is described as she declares Jesus to be the Son of God, and the true King of the true Israel. He could find no guile in her; for she is pure and free of the lies of progressive liberalism from God found in the first belief system introduced by the serpent as the first religious system, which was resettled in the East and out of the Land of Promise. Immediately Jesus referred back to the dream of Jacob, declaring Himself to be the ladder between earth and heaven, because He is the Son of man and the Son of God. Why would Jesus look away from His bride, who is without guile and back to a nation full of guile to be His witnesses? This is the prophecy, which swirls around the apostle, Nathanael. He is among the unknown of apostles, who appears only on lists.

Chapter 48 of Genesis introduces the crossover blessing, which permeates the Scriptures both before and after its introduction. Does darkness not come first and give way to light? Do all things created good give way to the multicultural effect of good and evil? Is there not a change where the Spirit of life gives way to the natural in the flesh and the spirit of death? Does ruler-ship of this world not go from God to Satan because we were given free will to choose to be the first sons of the flesh instead of the Spirit? Circumcision of the flesh could not bring back the Spirit, only faith and obedience again to God, with circumcision of the heart would do it (again, see Romans 2:28-29) and the shed blood of Jesus would be the required blood sacrifice.

What was the crossover blessing of Genesis, chapter 48? It was the blessing of Israel, and not of Jacob, upon the first two sons of Joseph, born to him in Egypt, the first empire of the world. It was a crossover of Israel’s hand upon the heads of the boys, Manasseh and Ephraim, as Israel deliberately placed his right hand of blessing and power upon the head of the younger son, Ephraim, and his left hand upon the head of Manasseh, the older son. There was a much greater blessing of Israel, deliberately placed upon the younger son, rather than upon the first or oldest son. First the nation, then the church; first the natural, then the spiritual; first the nation, then the spiritual nation.

Had the blessing of Abraham not crossed over to go from first son, Esau, to second son, Jacob, second of the twins to be born? Both were of Israel, but both were not equally blessed. In fact, God said He had loved Jacob but hated Esau (see Romans 9:13). Why in the world would He, as the God of love, say such a thing? He was saying that there are two possible men in every son born of Adam. There is the natural-born son of the beast in the flesh and the possibility of the spiritual-born son of God in the Spirit. But this can only happen for those who believe on the blood of Jesus for their salvation. God hates what Satan has done to His creation, while He loves and is well-pleased with His only Spirit-begotten Son.

Choose this day whom you will serve! Will you serve God or man? Will you love the world or will you love God? This is the covenant question put before Israel as she was given the Law by the right hand of God. The covenant question lies between religion and God’s Word of truth. Which do you choose? When did the nation Israel ever choose Jesus, the Word made flesh? The chief priests’ last words for Him were, “We have no king, but Caesar”, and so the nation chose the world of Babylon, even as she cried out for the Messiah to come as King over Israel.

Surely, the Messianics have this in their priestly DNA, inherited from the priesthood of Judaism. I personally prefer the scriptural crossover message, including the breech birth by which Perez came out before the first twin, Zerah (Genesis 38:29), to appear in the lineage of Jesus. The first throne of Israel went to Saul but the lasting throne would cross over to David, a man after God’s own heart, and ultimately to Jesus.

There is a continuous series of crossover blessings, with the cross, itself, at the center of the crossover nature of the covenant going from nation to spiritual nation. In order to come out of captivity Israel had to cross through the waters on dry land, and John the Baptist saw to it that those he baptized went into the waters to come out of the spiritual waters of the world beneath and on to dry land ready to receive the spiritual waters from above, which the risen Lord would send to His apostolic church of believers.

And so, the nation crossed over to the spiritual nation, the church, against which Jesus said the gates of Hades would not prevail. It did prevail against the nation, which ceased to exist, and there never was another nation in that land until the U.N. created a nation again called Israel, but not the Israel of God. There is no light in her as she still does not witness to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We need to remember the words of John, who said that those who do not have the Son of God do not have the Father.

So, who are the 144,000 witnesses, if not the true Jews against whom the gates of Hades cannot prevail? Are they not the sealed of God because of their faith and obedience to their Lord and Savior, Jesus? They certainly aren’t religious systems, which are rolling over to play dead in the face of today’s onslaught by Satan. Such systems are quickly moving toward the unity of a one world religious system. In fact they are the religious who are found at the heart of the swamp of the establishment, which is as antichrist as is Jerusalem presently. No, the true church must come out of her and enter back through the gateways of Israel, blessed in the beginning, as is clearly described after the crossover blessing of Genesis, chapter 48. Take a close look at Genesis, chapter 49:1:

And Jacob called his sons and said, “Gather together, that I may tell you what shall befall you in the last days:” Jacob was talking about today, telling us exactly who the witnesses are.

Perhaps, you, Kelleigh Nelson, and the 99% of the theological establishment can then explain why the 144,000 are not listed as the twelve tribes named for the natural sons of Jacob. Can you explain why Dan is missing and Manasseh is listed among them, but not Ephraim? Did Jacob not claim both Manasseh and Ephraim from Joseph to be as his own sons, as were Reuben and Simeon his first-born and second-born sons?

This should make it clear for you, Kelleigh, but I will leave you and the 99% who agree with you to figure out why there are omissions and additions to the tribes. It is very easily explained, but maybe since they are the brightest of the theologians and I am merely a called-out fisherwoman by the Kingfisher of men to witness to the truth of the gospels, then perhaps they can explain the answer to this question for you.
