Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

by Elinor Montgomery

February 20, 2018

I understand the truth of the fact, when Vice-President Pence says that Jesus talks to him. There are a lot of fools out there, especially those who call themselves Christian, wearing crosses around their necks, but having never heard from Jesus. Furthermore, they often sneer at those who claim they have.

They usually belong to congregations of comfortable, religious gatherings of people who know little or nothing about their Bibles. It is possible they have heard, in passing, of the often-told story of Saul, the religious, Judaic priest, or Pharisee, who was confronted on the road to Damascus by the crucified Jesus who spoke very clearly to him. The conversation was such that Saul could remember every spoken word. As soon as the serpentine scales of religion were removed from his eyes, he was completely transformed, or born of the Spirit of life, to never return to the religious priesthood again.

He became a new man as Paul, the apostle, and one of the greatest witnesses for Jesus and the truth whom this world has ever known. He was first taken into the heavenlies in spirit to gain his knowledge of truth from the Master, Himself. Who else, other than Jesus, could open the understanding of the scrolls of Scripture? Only Jesus was the Rabbi or Teacher for the apostles. To whom could He entrust His precious church?

How hypocritical these mocking Christians are! Perhaps, they do not know that the very name of their religion is a mocking term, which came out of Antioch, a part of the Roman Empire, which is part of the Babylonian system of empires. It was used to mock those called ‘the Way’ who believed Jesus to be the Son of God.

Now, imagine the religious bunch trying to grapple with the very idea that He was the Son of God, when He wasn’t one of them, the very special, but misguided, Hebrew priesthood! He even dared to tell them the truth, that their spiritual father of religion was the devil (see John 8:44).

I would rather guess that if these doubting Thomas’s had been alive in the time of Moses, they would have insisted upon the tabernacle in the wilderness being taken down and the ark of the covenant being destroyed because their crazy leader, Moses, thought he was talking with the Lord God and the Lord God, in turn, would speak with Moses when he entered into the tabernacle. Was he not this same crazy man, Moses, who got them into the situation in the wilderness where they wandered and went nowhere? Korah put to words such thoughts and the earth opened, to swallow him and his family.

God hated the murmuring of the Hebrew children over whether or not Moses was hearing from God, even after they were witnesses to some of the greatest miracles man has ever seen. There was no excuse for their rebellion to the voice of God. Was there ever a prophet sent by the Lord to be His voice to His people, whom they did not try to kill? Every apostle became a Spirit-led witness for Jesus and went out from Jerusalem to the destination to which He sent them. How do you think they knew what their individual destinations were, if they did not hear from the crucified Jesus?

Omarosa made some condemning remarks on television, along with a good deal of eye-rolling, to a group of women, which pointed to the questionable sanity of Vice-President Pence, because of the fact he stated that Jesus talks to him. The suggestion was made that he could be even more dangerous, as president, than that ‘insane man’ called Donald Trump, should such a situation arise where he would have to replace him.

In her condemning remarks, she managed to ‘schmuck’ the entire Bible, the Word of God and His Son, Jesus, the Word made flesh. There could be no greater way for her to have displayed her liberal nature, which comes straight from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

This same nature of liberalism surfaced in the women to whom Omarosa was speaking, while managing so well to display her ignorance. It appeared for a moment as if these delicate ladies all might swoon at the very thought of such insanity as to think one might pray to Jesus and actually hear Him speak back. All that these gentle souls were missing for their theatrics were some fans to fan themselves. It doesn’t get more liberal Democratic or ‘anti-God’ than that. It is called the anti-Christ spirit.

In the book of Revelation, the apostle John received a revelation of Jesus Christ, about which he declares the following:

And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death (Revelation 1:17-18).”

If Jesus were dead, but now alive and could talk to John, why could He not also talk to Vice-President Pence? Is that too much for the Son of God to do, the One who was present at the creation of the world? I surely would hate to arrive at those gates of Hades and of Death, because I did not believe Jesus could talk to me, but that it was all a lie and His Word means nothing.

On the other hand, I would guess that the gates of Hades are not prevailing against a man called Pence, who appears to be firmly rooted in the Word of truth, called the Bible. He is probably one of the most trustworthy candidates who have ever filled the office of the Vice-President, seemingly having none of that leftist, progressive liberalism in him, which comes straight from the mouth of that liar called the devil.

I am thankful every day for the fact that Jesus speaks to me, otherwise I would not have been commissioned to write this commentary, or the numerous other commentaries and books, which I have written.
