When the Bully Says Shopping Without a Mask is a Crime

This weekend I went shopping for a tank top for my son at a local retailer. I walked in the store like a normal human with shoes, shirt, and pants. While I headed to the men’s department, an employee proclaiming my inconsiderate oversight accosted me. I didn’t wear a mask, a mandate given by the governor of my state. I responded with, “I have a condition,” and continued walking.
My son followed me and said, “I have the same thing as him”.
Those of you that know me understand the fact that I am rarely uncomfortable, but while I walked around the store to give this retailer my business, I felt the eyes of the entire room on my son and me. We were depersonalized and ostracized…but we breathed freedom.
During times like these I am encouraged by Founding Father Patrick Henry:
“Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason toward my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.”
This pandemic is being used by politicians, plain and simple.
Dr. Ron Paul, the former U.S. Presidential candidate and 22-year Congressional veteran was quoted recently stating:
“After so many years in Washington, I thought I was immune to being shocked by what our government does. But the actions that our elected officials… the Fed… even the medical community have taken in the past few weeks have gone beyond anything I could have imagined.”
Let’s consider this: with no constitutional authority, governors and agencies within the executive branches of state governments have stopped the economy of the country; they have ruined the livelihood of millions of people (with more to come); and they have misused the police power of the state to forcibly deny rights and privileges to human beings which were granted to them by God Almighty.
Shouldn’t these politicians and supposed experts be right about their predictions and truthful about their counterfactual outcomes?
Fauci has not been truthful. He lied about the scientific necessity for mask wearing, among other things, and then admitted it. Would you tolerate your doctor lying to you? There is a term for this…malpractice.
And the governors across the country who have abused the trust of the people by following these flawed policies are no less culpable.
Are these the type of individuals that we trust to lead? I seem to remember a story in history class that talked about a small group of 56 men who declared independence from their country because their leader was such a one “whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”
I am praying America will snap out of the COVID-coma that has pushed miscalculated factors and flawed models, followed by predictions needing revision and re-revision and re-re-revision.
These “experts” many are following, like Fauci, your governors, and your press (really, your press?!) have proved they are incompetent and disgraced, and no one should continue following their essential, non-essential decrees and their mandatory mask-wearing nonsense.
Wear a mask if you want, but no one should be bullied, right?

Britain Bans a Chinese Tech Giant From Building Out 5G Technology
By Chris White / @ZanderKelly30 /

Britain will ban Huawei from deploying equipment designed to build out the country’s fifth generation mobile service, delivering a blow to the Chinese tech giant.
Britain Digital and Media Minister Oliver Dowden announced the decision Tuesday in the House of Commons, noting that the move will take effect in January. Unplugging from Huawei will likely delay the country’s 5G rollout by three years, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
The country will slowly transition away from the company’s 5G components over the next seven years, Dowden stated.
President Donald Trump has done battle with Huawei in recent months, imposing an export control in May that cuts the company off from semiconductors necessary to build out technology. Experts believe 5G will help lay the groundwork for the so-called Internet of Things, a form of technology tying together virtually all appliances to the internet.
All member countries of an alliance called the Five Eyes—Canada, New Zealand, United States, Britain, and Australia—have now sworn off Huawei technology, The Washington Post reported. The Five Eyes represent the world’s most powerful intelligence community.
The U.K.’s move against Huawei comes after the country had previously supported the company’s buildout.
Britain initially allowed the company in January to supply and build 5G network infrastructure while denying it access to the government sites.
China reportedly spent $24 billion more than the U.S. on wireless communications infrastructure since 2015. The country also built more 5G towers in a three-month span in 2017 than the U.S. did in three years. There are also concerns that Huawei’s close ties to China leave the U.S. open to cyberattacks.
“This disappointing decision is bad news for anyone in the UK with a mobile phone. It threatens to move Britain into the digital slow lane, push up bills and deepen the digital divide. Instead of ‘levelling up’ the government is levelling down and we urge them to reconsider,” Huawei spokesman Chasen Skinner said in a statement to The Daily Caller News Foundation.
He added: “We remain confident that the new US restrictions would not have affected the resilience or security of the products we supply to the UK.”
Other Chinese-based companies are facing similar criticisms.
Democratic New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, for instance, asked the U.S. intelligence community in October to assess Chinese social media platform TikTok and its national security risks, saying that such apps could be used to spy on U.S. citizens or become targets of foreign influence campaigns.
TikTok promised to stop accessing users’ content on iOS devices in June, The Telegraph reported, after a new feature in iOS 14 indicated the app did not stop collecting data despite pledging to end the practice in 2019. Users noticed the app continued scanning content on the clipboard while in background mode, Telegraph reported.

Trump Toughens Talk and Action on China
By Steve Herman
VOA News
July 14, 2020
WHITE HOUSE - Amid rising concerns that Beijing and Washington are drifting toward a Cold War, U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday declared that China’s rise is not a positive development for the United States.
Trump made the remarks in the White House Rose Garden, announcing he had signed the Hong Kong Autonomy Act and issued an executive order ending preferential trade treatment for Hong Kong.
“Hong Kong will now be treated the same as mainland China,” Trump said of the order.
The act imposes sanctions on people, entities and financial institutions connected to China deemed responsible for actions to remove autonomy from Hong Kong.
Responding to a reporter’s question, Trump said he has no plans to speak to Chinese President Xi Jinping anytime soon.
The remarks came on the heels of fresh sanctions on China over its repression of minorities in Xinjiang and moves by Washington to cut off Chinese companies from American technology……..

Walmart, Sam's Club to Require Face Coverings
By VOA News
July 15, 2020
Customers shopping at Walmart and its membership-only retail warehouse Sam’s Club will be required to wear face coverings starting July 20, the U.S. mega retailer announced Wednesday.
Approximately 265 million customers visit Walmart and its affiliates each week, the company says, and 65% of its 5,000 stores are in areas where there’s already some kind of government requirement for face coverings.
Several large companies, such as Apple and Costco had previously instituted face covering requirements at their retail outlets. Starbucks and Best Buy have also announced a mandatory mask order for its customers.
Companies are facing the difficult and politically charged decision of whether or not to obligate customers to don face coverings. As coronavirus cases explode across the U.S., experts are calling for increased social distancing measures and mask-wearing, while the internet is rife with viral videos of disgruntled customers haranguing employees over mask requirements.
"We know some people have differing opinions on this topic. We also recognize the role we can play to help protect the health and well-being of the communities we serve by following the evolving guidance of health officials like the CDC (Centers for Disease Control)," Walmart’s chief operating officers, Dacona Smith, wrote in a blog post published Wednesday.
Smith and Lance de la Rosa, Sam's Club chief operating officer, said in a statement that stores will be given adequate time “to inform customers and members of the changes, post signage and train associates on the new protocols.”
The Retail Industry Leaders Association, which represents Walmart, Best Buy and other major chains, is asking governors to mandate masks across the nation.
