A Conservative Senator with Guts

This is a story of two women. One, Senator Kelly Loeffler of Georgia, denounced Black Lives Matter (BLM) as the Marxist organization it is. The other woman, Louise Radnofsky, a sports reporter for the Wall Street Journal, deceived her readers about the Marxist political agenda of Black Lives Matter, calling the group “decentralized.” This claim was then picked up by left-wing groups to defend BLM and attack Loeffler.
In fact, BLM is a group that honors convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur, now living in Communist Cuba. A video shows a BLM co-founder admitting, “We are trained Marxists.”
Marxists are trained not to solve problems but to exploit them, on the road to socialism and communism. They were prepared when George Floyd died. Our cites were still burning when the BLM’s call to defund the police resulted in more black lives being lost as gun violence rose in those same cities.
BLM is in the forefront of a Maoist cultural revolution that few Republican Senators, except for Loeffler, seem to grasp.
Journalists distort the truth all the time. But Radnofsky works for a paper that carries a “conservative” reputation. That makes this case of media distortion and omission significant.
Her story was about Senator Loeffler, a part owner of the WNBA team, the Atlanta Dream, objecting to the league glorifying the BLM movement on team uniforms. She appeared on Fox News and Newsmax TV to denounce the group’s “Marxist principles.”
While other “conservative” Senators were proposing to replace Columbus Day with Juneteenth, or to handcuff the police through more lawsuits, Loeffler took on the BLM directly. This is the kind of tough woman Trump needs on the ticket with him to salvage his campaign. Women need to know that BLM is not a group that deserves sympathy but scorn for dividing America along racial lines.
Here’s what Radnofsky wrote about BLM:
“Black Lives Matter is a decentralized political movement. Leaders of its official chapters, and throngs of loosely affiliated backers, generally support reallocating police funds to social programs, as well as other overhauls of police department oversight, discipline and practices; many others have also pushed for departments to be completely abolished.”
In fact, BLM’s proposed destruction of “the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure” follows the dictates of the book, The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State, by Karl Marx comrade Friedrich Engels. The Marxists regard the family structure of husband, wife, and children to be a construct of capitalism and in need of complete overthrow. Hence, BLM also affirms “trans” rights, letting men become women, and vice versa. This is DNA denial.
Those interested in restoring the black family in America would be interested in that fact.
The BLM tribute to the terrorist Shakur is one thing. But the Capital Research Center notes that Susan Rosenberg, a board member of Thousand Currents -- the group fiscally sponsoring the most organized part of the Black Lives Matter movement, the BLM Global Network Foundation -- is a former convicted terrorist. The group posts links to the supporting documents. The Rosenberg connection helps make the case that BLM is not only Marxist but pro-terrorist.
Radnofsky failed to do the elementary research required of a journalist upholding minimal standards of basic journalism. Perhaps she was afraid to report the facts because she would be criticized for doing so. This reflects the power of what former New York Times journalist Bari Weiss calls the mob-dictated dominant ideology in journalism today.
According to the Journal, this stand against BLM has “made Loeffler an outlier in the sports world, where leagues and franchises have rushed to embrace the antiracist movement in the wake of the killing of George Floyd.”
Loeffler spoke out against the Marxist values of the BLM and suggested that basketball players and everyone unite as Americans behind the American flag -- a global symbol of freedom. Her radical proposal was to put a small American flag on the uniforms of WNBA players to show unity.
This has made her an “outlier.” Nonsense.
Of course, the term, “antiracist,” as used by Radnofsky, is deliberately false. The group’s focus on saving the lives of one race of people is itself racist by definition. It is also Marxist and anti-family.
Official factions of the BLM have also been accused of anti-Semitism but never disavowed. Indeed, the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) has thanked Loeffler for condemning BLM’s anti-Semitism. They said, “ZOA calls on all patriots and people of good conscience to join Sen. Loeffler in calling out the Black Lives Matter political organization for its Jew-hatred and its anti-Israel activities and associations, as well as it’s call to defund police and abolish prisons and the US military, as well as its call to end the nuclear family and asking young children to choose their own gender.”
Radnofsky’s bio says she has a master's from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
The Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism was founded by Joseph Pulitzer (1847–1911), a famous newspaper publisher. “Our Republic and its press will rise or fall together,” Pulitzer wrote, on a plaque inside the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism building. “An able, disinterested, public-spirited press, with trained intelligence to know the right and courage to do it, can preserve that public virtue without which popular government is a sham and a mockery. A cynical, mercenary, demagogic press will produce in time a people as base as itself. The power to mould the future of the Republic will be in the hands of the journalists of future generations.”
Today, it produces journalists who are not living up to his high aspirations. Sadly, this is typical.
To understand how journalism has been “fundamentally transformed,” please read this report, “Saving the World For Socialism: How Soviet Dupe and Fellow Traveler Curtis MacDougall Trained Today’s ‘Progressive’ Journalists.” MacDougall conceived “interpretative reporting,” the name of his textbook, and drove many young journalists to embrace this far-left worldview.
The report is based in part on my own experience in journalism. I saw it from the inside. Senator Loeffler is a victim but is standing up to it.

Sen. Josh Hawley Asks Attorney General to Look Into Investigation of Gun-Owning Couple
By Mary Rose Corkery / @corkery_mrose/
The Daily Signal
July 17, 2020
Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., urged Attorney General William Barr on Thursday to launch a civil rights investigation into the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office that is “threatening to prosecute” a couple that defended their home with firearms.
In a letter to Barr, Hawley wrote that Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner’s decision to investigate lawyers Mark and Patricia McCloskey was an “unacceptable abuse of power and [a] threat to the Second Amendment.”
The McCloskeys were investigated after confronting protesters with firearms, Gardner’s office said in a statement. Protesters broke down the gate to the McCloskeys’ home and marched the driveway in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 28, according to video of the incident.
Gardner’s office is “threatening to prosecute not the trespassers, but the McCloskeys” and permitted police to seize the McCloskeys’ firearms, Hawley wrote, citing a KMOV4 article. The police have filed for warrants, but no charges have been filed against the McCloskeys, KMOV4 reported Thursday.
“Her office has seized their firearms, and police have applied for warrants in the case, with an indictment believed to be imminent,” Hawley wrote.
“This morning I have asked the Department of Justice to open a civil rights investigation into the St Louis Circuit Attorneys’ Office,” Hawley said on Twitter Thursday.
“Targeting law-abiding citizens who exercise constitutionally protected rights for investigation & prosecution is an abuse of power,” Hawley said.
Hawley said Gardner and the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office are following a “politically-motivated pattern” in prosecuting the McCloskeys while refusing to prosecute violent protesters who were arrested, according to press release from Hawley’s office. Hawley said the McCloskeys were within their Second Amendment rights to protect their home.
“There is no question under Missouri law that the McCloskeys had the right to own and use their firearms to protect themselves from threatened violence, and that any criminal prosecution for these actions is legally unsound,” Hawley wrote.
Gardner told The Daily Caller News Foundation in an email that she was “deeply disappointed that a U.S. Senator would intervene in a local matter that is under investigation.”
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office tweeted Thursday that it “will not be bullied by a sitting U.S. Senator or anyone else” and will continue the investigation.
Hawley did not respond immediately to The Daily Caller News Foundation for comment.

US Wrestles with How to Open Schools Safely
By Steve Baragona
VOA News
July 19, 2020
WASHINGTON - Everyone agrees kids should be in school.
While opening schools in the fall has become the latest Trump administration political battle, the question is not whether it's a good idea. It's whether it can be done safely.
With the opening of the new school year just weeks away, President Donald Trump threatened school districts that do not send kids back to classrooms. Though the federal government has little control over school finances, he said in a tweet he "(m)ay cut off funding if not open!"
Teachers want it. Pediatricians want it.
“We recognize that children learn best when physically present in the classroom," the two largest U.S. teachers unions and the American Academy of Pediatrics said in a joint statement.
"(B)ut we must pursue reopening in a way that is safe for all students, teachers and staff," they add.
Public health experts say opening schools carries many of the same risks as opening businesses, and many communities that have done so too fast or without enough protections have seen coronavirus cases explode…….

Portland Police Declare a ‘Riot’
By VOA News
July 19, 2020
Police in Portland, Oregon, declared a riot late Saturday after protesters broke into the Portland Police Association building and started a fire. The fire was quickly extinguished.
Protesters also took down a fence just hours after it had been placed around the federal courthouse in Portland. The fence was put in place to “de-escalate” tensions between protesters and law enforcement officials, the U.S. Attorney’s office said on Twitter.
There have been daily protests around the federal courthouse in Portland since May 25 when George Floyd, a Black man, died in Minneapolis after a white police officer held him down. Anti-racism protests quickly erupted in Minneapolis and spread to other U.S. cities, such as Portland, and to other countries.
The speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and Portland Congressman Earl Blumenauer issued a statement late Saturday criticized the actions of federal officials in detaining and teargassing protesters: “Last month, the Administration tear-gassed peaceful protesters in Washington, D.C. Now, videos show them kidnapping protesters in unmarked cars in Portland – all with the goal of inflaming tensions for their own gain. While Portland is the President’s current target, any city could be next.”
The statement went on to say, “The House is committed to moving swiftly to curb these egregious abuses of power immediately.”
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Oregon on Friday called actions of federal officers against protesters in Portland “flat-out unconstitutional.”……

The ‘Diverse’ Signers of the Harper’s Letter
Supposedly Championing Tolerance and Open Debate
Written by adam dick
Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity
July 8, 2020
People are commenting regarding the “diverse” signers of a Tuesday open letter at Harper’s Magazine supposedly championing tolerance and open debate. Don’t believe the hype. How diverse are the views of these signers? The letter they signed singles out one person in the world — United States President Donald Trump — for harsh criticism and twice condemns iterations of “right wing” people.
“The forces of illiberalism are gaining strength throughout the world and have a powerful ally in Donald Trump, who represents a real threat to democracy.” That is a sentence in the first paragraph of the three-paragraph letter. It seems like a litmus test for being among the “diverse” group of signers is to agree with this broad condemnation of Trump. Not only that, a signer must also accept that Trump alone is singled out for any criticism. No other person is mentioned in the letter.
Signers of the letter also identify people in the “right wing” as the opposition. Note this sentence, also from the first paragraph of the letter: “But resistance must not be allowed to harden into its own brand of dogma or coercion — which right-wing demagogues are already exploiting.” Then, in the second paragraph, the letter declares:
The free exchange of information and ideas, the lifeblood of a liberal society, is daily becoming more constricted. While we have come to expect this on the radical right, censoriousness is also spreading more widely in our culture: an intolerance of opposing views, a vogue for public shaming and ostracism, and the tendency to dissolve complex policy issues in a blinding moral certainty.
Now get a load of what these signers who go out of there way to condemn Trump and people associated with the “right wing” say they are seeking in their letter. We “raise our voices against,” the letter signers declare, “a new set of moral attitudes and political commitments that tend to weaken our norms of open debate and toleration of differences in favor of ideological conformity.”
Um, OK. Here is a question for the letter signers: Are you ready to tolerate and welcome to the open debate people you consider Trump supporters, “right-wing demagogues,” or “radical right” individuals?
